Emotional intelligence, I believe is more important than one&#8217;s IQ which is one&#8217;s intellect.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Emotional intelligence can be used in every aspect of one&#8217;s life such as dealing with your children, dealing with education at school, your teachers, your professors, your peers at work, dealing with intercultural competency and\u00a0interpersonal competencies. Becoming more emotionally intelligent can help you improve in all theses areas in life. It shows your boss that you can deal with situations involving people and attracts more like-minded people into your life.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Why is this important? Most of our encounters are with people. If we are able to effectively deal with people with emotional intelligence, it will allow us to make mature and sound decisions with all parties being considered in the decision-making process. Everyone does not have a high level of emotional intelligence, however it is something that is needed in order to grow intellectually and emotionally.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We live in a world today where most people are immature and make decisions on a whim. Unfortunately, there are prisons and jails to house people who make poor life decisions.
